Can I find a job when over 60 years old?
Finding good construction employees is the number one problem construction employers face today. With the volumes of baby boomers retiring, and the lack of younger people in the industry, most employers welcome older employees. Certainly older employees will be at a disadvantage over younger employees for certain positions that require long hours, high energy and high stress. However older employees offer wisdom and experience to help firms avoid mistakes of their younger counterparts who may lack in this regard. There is not a shortage of jobs for older people in construction if the older people are willing to be treated on a level-playing field, or even take a pay cut if they cannot provide the same level of service.
