Can I job hunt and ask a construction recruiter for a non-disclosure?

I want to do a confidential job search. Would it offend a construction recruiter to ask him to sign a non-disclosure statement about my candidacy before turning over my construction resume? This is totally in your rights and the right construction recruiter should have no problem with this. If he/she refuses, then the two of you are probably not in sync and you should move on to find someone that you will be better capable of working with.
