Job Description: Job Summary:
The Director – Nuclear Fleet IT is the single point of contact for Information Technology to the Chief Nuclear Officer as well as the Vice President, Nuclear IT. Oversees the development, enhancement, and support of business and plant IT systems across a fleet of nuclear power plants. Interface between corporate IT and the nuclear leadership team and ensures compliance with approved IT standards while executing the Nuclear business objectives. Member of Nuclear Staff Leadership Team and participates in Fleet and Site business initiatives and planning. Supports safe, reliable and economical operation of nuclear station activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential job functions)
1. *Develops strategy for uniform Nuclear business and plant systems which are flexible enough to meet specific site business needs.
2. *Recommends to the fleet which system is best suited to meet the fleet’s needs.
3. *Responsible for all for ongoing operations of all plant and business IT fleet wide. Indirectly responsible for all IT infrastructure and enterprise platforms utilized by the fleet.
4. *Oversees development of the consolidated Nuclear IT budget including projects, operations, and infrastructure charge backs.
5. *Scans and evaluates recent developments for new technology solutions which may support line of business profitability.
6. *Advises business unit heads of trends in information systems applications which call for predictive replacement and preventive maintenance.
7. *Is responsible for ongoing communications with CNG client supervision and management to ensure IT supports the fleet’s business needs. Must be comfortable with working in a highly matrixed environment.
8. *Interfaces between corporate IT and the sites, by reviewing project plans, schedules, and estimates, and monitoring projects in progress and impacts to the sites.
9. Focuses on ensuring that proper change management and applications integration activities are included in all project plans and monitoring projects to ensure the planned tasks are completed.
10. Keeps abreast of the Company's Quality Assurance Program, including administrative requirements and the various codes, standards and regulatory guides under which computer maintenance is performed.
11. Develops and is responsible for compliance with formal written procedures as required by the Company and federal regulations.
12. Participates in the evaluation, negotiations, and selection of software, consulting and contracting services.
13. Conveys vision, mission and core values and leads achievement of department, site-wide and CNG goals.
14. Measures performance through cost-effective collection, interprets data and reports actionable findings
15. Conducts and completes performance evaluations. Provides accurate, timely, and constructive performance feedback in order to help others improve and succeed.
16. Ensures a safe work environment and nurtures the prescribed safety culture.
17. Assures self-assessment and continuous quality improvement methods are in place
18. Assures programmatic issues are properly addressed per the required corrective action system with casual analyses completed when appropriate.
19. Supervisory: Oversees and manages the reporting roles of Director Site IT, Supervisor Fleet IT, Nuclear Architect

Skills/Abilities:
Required
Written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence others and clearly state the vision and desired outcomes. Strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with the ability to independently make and implement decisions.

Desired
Familiarity with Corrective Action Process as applies to the Nuclear Industry. Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance Fundamentals. Familiarity with Cyber Security Process as applies to the Nuclear Industry.

Education/Experience:
Required:
1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or Management
2. 7 - 12 years of experience in computer applications, operations, maintenance, or construction experience
3. 2 - 5 years of supervisory experience

Competencies:
Required
Keeps abreast of state-of-the-art information technology system capabilities.
Desired
Participation in various IT communities of practice, or seminars, especially those related to the Nuclear IT field.

Other:
Required
Familiarity with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process. Ability to meet and maintain unescorted access requirements of a nuclear power plant.
Must be able to travel periodically to the Nuclear Power Plants owned by Constellation Energy, as well as to industry meetings.
