Senior Interior Designer - Hospitality   Employer: HDR Engineering Inc Job Location: San Francisco , CA Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Engineers Job Description: Description The San Francisco, CA office of HDR Architecture is searching for an experienced Senior Designer with Hospitality experience. The primary duties of the Senior Designer include responsibility for the aesthetic solution for large and/or complex architectural projects. Meets directly with client, analyzes clients problems and conceives and develops architectural solutions commensurate with their needs. Initiates and creates schematic designs and plans with responsibility for the preparation of presentation drawings, models and narratives. Represents the firm, participating as a key member of business development teams in presentations to prospective clients. Works with the various engineering disciplines throughout the schematic and design development phases to ensure that the solution accommodates the engineering needs and the owners program. May direct the activities of other design professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members. Requirements Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture. Registered Architect. 10+ years design experience preferred. Hospitality experience required. Experience in engineering concepts. AutoCAD experience required. 3-D software knowledge beneficial Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule). Knowledge of current trends and experience with large projects. Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills. Excellent written and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage in a team environment. Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
